Job Title: Junior Procurement Officer
Location: Dubai, UAE
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations for goods and services.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and product specifications.
- Compare supplier quotations and prepare procurement reports.
- Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment planning.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
- Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
- Assist in supplier evaluation and performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and procurement process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, MCIPS or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, Logistics or supply chain operations.
- Maritime experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
