Crewing Officer

Job Title: Crewing Officer

Location: Dubai, UAE

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Manning Agents to manage crew schedules, rotations, and crew changes.
• Arrange travel, visas, and port formalities for crew sign-on and sign-off.
• Maintain accurate crew documentation and ensure certificates and licenses comply with STCW, MLC 2006, and Flag State requirements.
• Liaise with Vessel Masters, Port Agents, and Manning Agents to ensure smooth crew operations.
• Monitor crew contracts, performance evaluations, and training requirements.
• Maintain the Officers Matrix in line with Oil Major requirements and ensure crew meet charterer standards.
• Support vessel readiness for vetting inspections (SIRE) and ensure crew records are updated.
• Assist with crew payroll verification, leave tracking, and crew database management.
• Support internal and external audits related to crew compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in crew management within the maritime industry.
• Knowledge of STCW, MLC 2006, and maritime regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with crew management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Relevant degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with tanker vessels.
• Familiarity with OCIMF, SIRE inspections, and Oil Major requirements
