  Job Responsibilities (But not are limited to the following)

Assist to Technical Manager and Superintendent for the followings;

 - Assist the Technical Manager and Superintendent to follow up vessels records in established Planned Maintenance System

 - Assist the Technical Manager and Superintendent to follow up Critical spare part inventory on every vessel managed by the Company, according to ship specific Critical Equipment List. Assist to vessel’s safe, efficient and technical maintenance operation

 - Assist to lubricating oils, stores including, gasses, consumables and chemicals supplies and follow up their consumption.

 - Assist to follow up the spare parts ordered and make arrangements for the repair and reconditioning of used parts.

 - Remind vessels regarding the proper and timely dispatch of fuel oil and lube oil samples. Keep records of analysis results

 - Assist the Technical Manager and Superintendent to coordinate, follow up and supervise repairs, such as those of the ships staff, riding crews, specialists, sub-contractors, ship repair companies and shipyards.

 - Assist the Technical Manager and Superintendent to coordinate / organize with Authorities, Classification Societies and ships staff the various inspections and surveys.

 - Assist the Technical Manager and Superintendent to maintain the vessels in class, ensuring both Class and statutory surveys are performed on schedule.

 - Assist the Technical Manager and Superintendent for proper close out of defects.

 - Assist the Technical Manager and Superintendent to follow up vessel safety equipment certificates. Arrange safety services as per Technical Manager and Superintendents recommendations.

 - Participate periodic review of the Management System.

 - Assist to follow technical department KPI’s and statistics.

  Job Responsibilities (But not are limited to the following)

 - Responsible for the overall management and technical operations of our vessels. This includes overseeing the daily operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey schedules, onboard general assessment of vessels, inspections and docking, etc.

  - Ensure the assigned boats are technically operational or otherwise effectively managed.

  - Liaise with customers on technical and operational matters including vessel performance, etc.

  - Attend to vessel dry docking, repairs and survey when required and determine repair specifications for dry docking and maintenance.

  - Provide and compile documented reports upon completion of dry docking, including summaries of works performed, operational budgets, and actual expenditures.

  - Identify and source for technical and operational supplies required for the vessels and ensure the rates are most economical.

  - Ensure that all copies of statutory, Solas and equipment certificates (life rafts, compasses, etc.) are properly maintained and documented.

 - Manning and manpower development for GSM managed ships, ensuring that ships are manned in accordance with Company Policy and Flag requirements.

 - Ensuring that ship staff are in possession of valid Certificates as per National and Flag State requirements, taking into account the type of Ships

 - Compiling ship staff onboard and vacation schedules.

 - Overview of sea staff Conditions of Service and the payment of salaries for seafarers. Negotiating reviews of Terms and conditions with relevant manning agencies.

 - Checking of Master’s wage returns. Supervision of Fleet payroll

 - Monitoring the standards of sea staff and assessing their Appraisal reports

 -Verify and approve of all the invoices for all three branches.

 -Verify and approve all the vouchers including petty cash for all three branches.

 -Schedule the service boats and other activities of the vessel and ensure that the operation department is executing the job as planned.

 -Prepare service reports or other related messages as necessary to owners/operators during and after the operations of the vessels.

 -Close liaison with the HO for the follow up of the instructions and requirements of the management.

 -Trade and control of the service boats.

 -Establish tariff for the service boats according to the local market trends.

 -Crewing and maintaining of the service boats with the help of the concerned depts.

 -Acting as quality manager for ISO certification.

 -Send monthly report/updates of the branch activities to the GM.
